What are Dental Implants?

Attractive older couple outdoors

A dental implant is an appliance used to replace the roots of teeth. The implant is surgically attached to the jaw bone and an artificial tooth is attached to the top of the implant, creating a natural looking, undetectable replacement for the missing tooth.

Dental implants with artificial teeth are the closest thing to regrowing your natural teeth. They are strong, stable, durable and virtually undetectable. By filling gaps left by missing teeth, implants can provide better chewing ability and head off jaw joint problems.

Implant Supported Dentures

Our multi-step process takes time, but we guarantee that it will give you the natural, beautiful smile you've always wanted—and you won't even need to use denture adhesives.

Before we begin creating your custom dentures, we make multiple dental impressions in order to obtain valuable information about your bite and jaw. We then use this information to make dentures that look and function just like natural teeth. We believe in creating dentures that function excellently without requiring messy dental adhesive!

We use only top-quality dentures created in our in-house custom denture lab and we design them to provide the best fit, most natural function, and optimal appearance for our patients. We don’t stop working for you until you are 100% satisfied—period!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is getting a dental implant worth it?

Your teeth affect everything - from your smile and confidence, to your ability to eat, speak and participate in everyday activities. There is no better option to restore missing teeth. As a permanent restoration, dental implants are an ideal investment in your oral health.

Do I really need a dental implant?

In some circumstances a dental implant isn't necessary. When you visit us for your complimentary consultation we will provide you with an accurate, honest diagnoses. If you don't actually need an implant placed we won't try and push you into getting one.

How long does a dental implant last?

For most patients 45 years or older a dental implant will last for life. The implant itself won't typically need replacement but the crown or cap placed on the appliance may need restoration or replacement every 10-15 years.

Does insurance cover dental implants?

Our wonderful staff will work with you to see if your insurance company will cover the dental implant procedure. If for any reason it's not covered, we will let you know and will work with you to develop a financial plan if needed. Our patients often tell us that it's completely worth the investment of their time and money to permanently replace their missing teeth with dental implants.

Will I lose anything by coming in for the free consultation?

Of course not. The consultation is completely free of charge. We are limited in how many consultations we can schedule during any given period - so make sure to schedule yours as soon as possible.

What payment options are available?

Yes, ask our office about financing options or payment plans. CareCredit® offers reasonable interest rates for patients who need to finance their dental care.

Patient Financing

CareCredit is a healthcare credit card designed for your health, beauty, and wellness needs. It's a way to pay for the costs of many treatments and procedures and allows you to make convenient monthly payments.
